1:20 p.m. — Rivers raves about Broncos defense

Philip Rivers will play his 26th career games against the Broncos on Sunday, and while much has changed since their first meeting in 2015, one thing remains the same in the veteran quarterback’s mind.

“It’s always a challenge to prepare for this defense,” Rivers said.

The biggest adjustment in 2018 will be accounting for rookie edge rusher Bradley Chubb in addition to six-time Pro Bowler Von Miller. The duo has combined for 17 sacks this season — the most by any pair of teammates in the NFL.

“Those are two really good rushers and football players,” Rivers said. ” Von is a every-down football player. He’s not just a guy who is just a pass rusher. … When they need a blow, they trot in (Shane) Ray and (Shaq) Barrett, who I bet a lot of teams wish were their every-down guys.”

The Broncos (3-6) travel Sunday to face the Chargers (7-2) in Week 11.
